Major New Sponsorship Deals
Construction Racing has recently secured two major new sponsorship deals for the supply of engines and a new custom built race boat, which are to be announced in conjunction with the Miami Boat Show in February. The combination will elevate the Team to a new international level and make us trully competetive in the Monte Carlo Race 2013 which has now been given World Cup status by the U.I.M. Going Carbon Neutral
Article – Project News Construction Racing goes neutral Construction Racing has become the world’s first offshore powerboat team to go carbon neutral. The team is now backed by a carbon offset company, which means the whole race from Cowes to Monte Carlo, including the boat and all the support activities, can be run with a zero carbon footprint. Carbon offsetting typically works by calculating emissions and then backing other activities that reduce greenhouse gas, which can include wind farms, forestry, biomass energy and other schemes for reducing emissions or removing pollutants. Charity Auction
The charities involved were Focus Birmingham, One Voice and The Lords Taverners. The auction prize we offered was a day with us and the boats next summer. Its was the most popular prize of the night and fetched more money than any of the other prizes on offer including tickets for a England international at Wembley and a day at the test match at Edgbaston with private cricket coaching from Warwickshire CCC. A great night had by all!
